AMS Public Policy Project Intern (Global Public Policy) | TikTok
The Tone:
This is a temporary, full-time internship at TikTok, located in Washington, DC. TikTok is a leading global destination for short-form mobile video, dedicated to inspiring creativity and bringing joy to its users worldwide. This role offers students the opportunity to engage in impactful short-term projects, gaining practical, real-world experience and developing a deeper understanding of their career interests. The intern will contribute to the Global Public Policy & Government Affairs team’s mission to prevent and mitigate political, legislative, and regulatory threats, while promoting an environment that supports TikTok’s business growth and innovation.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Legislation Tracking: Track relevant legislation at both Federal and State levels.
• Hearing Monitoring: Monitor legislative hearings pertinent to tech policy developments.
• Document Drafting: Draft memorandums and various documents related to Federal and State legislation and tech-related updates.
• Event Attendance: Attend tech-related events to gather information and represent the team.
• Policy Team Support: Assist the Public Policy team in reaching policymakers and generally working to advance the company’s goals.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in public policy, political science, or a related tech-policy discipline.
• Experience: Prior experience working on Capitol Hill, including demonstrated writing experience.
• Skills: Writing, Legislative Tracking, Policy Monitoring.
