Proposal Graphics Team Intern | TekSynap

The Tone:
This is an internship at TekSynap, a high-tech company providing information management solutions to Federal Government customers. This role supports the development of compliant, high-impact visual solutions for competitive federal proposal submissions. The intern will translate complex written content into structured graphics that communicate execution, differentiation, and value, operating within strict brand and compliance guidelines.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Full-time (with potential for evenings/weekends)
• Location: Telework – Virginia (with travel to Reston, VA and DMV)

• Team: Proposal Graphics Team (collaborates with Proposal/Capture Managers, writers, SMEs)
• Mission: To develop compliant, high-impact visual solutions for federal proposal submissions by translating complex written content into structured graphics.
• Tech Stack: Adobe Creative Suite, Powerpoint, Canva

What You’ll Actually Do
• Transform: Convert written proposal content into clear, structured visual narratives.
• Collaborate: Work with proposal and capture teams to clarify intent and resolve ambiguity in visual concepts.
• Revise: Rapidly update graphics through iterative review cycles under compressed timelines.
• Comply: Ensure all visuals adhere to brand standards, formatting requirements, and proposal instructions.
• Organize: Maintain organized file management and version control across multiple active projects.
• Manage: Balance multiple graphics tasks across simultaneous proposal deadlines.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to convert written concepts into structured, process-driven visuals, exemplified by a portfolio including process flows, diagrams, technical illustrations, presentations, or structured layouts.
• Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Powerpoint, and Canva; strong organizational skills with comfort managing multiple deadlines; ability to follow detailed guidelines while remaining creative and solution-oriented; strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with technical and leadership stakeholders.
