Analyst, Property Tax | Kroll

The Tone:
This is an Analyst role at Kroll, requiring approximately 10% travel across the US. Kroll is a global leader in risk and financial advisory solutions, leveraging nearly a century of expertise with cutting-edge technology. This role is crucial for maximizing client value by providing specialized real estate and personal property tax consulting services that blend valuation, cost accounting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Mission: Optimize client property tax liabilities and ensure compliance by providing expert real estate and personal property tax consulting services.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Communicate: Effectively communicate with the team, clients, assessors, and taxing authorities regarding tax matters.
• Audit: Secure and audit tax statements, including assessment notices and tax bills, for accuracy and compliance.
• Analyze: Learn, understand, and apply assessment rules, regulations, appeals processes, and exemption opportunities across multiple states and jurisdictions.
• Value: Learn, understand, and apply valuation techniques, including the three approaches to value, for real and personal property appraisal.
• Develop: Participate in training sessions and educational opportunities to stay informed about industry trends, valuation techniques, and assessment procedures.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration (with an Accounting or Finance concentration), Management (with an Accounting or Finance concentration), or an MBA from an accredited college or university.
• Experience: No specific years required; graduation between December 2026 and July 2027. Demonstrated leadership experience.
• Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple engagements, critical thinking with strong attention to detail, computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, strong analytical, comprehension, and problem-solving skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Bonus: Strong personal integrity, ability to work effectively with senior professionals in an engagement team, and a demonstrated commitment to obtaining outstanding results.
