Job Description: Tax Intern (Global Executive & Private Client Group)
Responsibilities:
• International Tax Support: Analyze tax implications of international work, prepare income tax returns for multiple jurisdictions, analyze foreign tax credits, and identify global tax planning opportunities for cost minimization.
• Corporate Setup & Compliance: Assist corporations in setting up operations in new countries, ensuring compliance with tax and social tax requirements.
• Executive Compensation & Payroll: Determine compensation packages for international executives, assist with global payroll processes, and ensure compliance with applicable laws in multiple locations.
• Global Mobility Support: Provide global coordination and support to corporate clients regarding global mobility programs, including implementing processes and technologies to manage their global workforce efficiently.
• Engagement Administration & Technology: Assist Associates and Senior Associates with engagement administration and scoping efforts. Build capabilities in key technologies like AI, Alteryx, Power BI for client service delivery.
Qualifications:
• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Tax, Accounting, International Business, Human Resources, or Finance.
• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Additional academic credits required upon completion of the internship to complete degree and/or CPA eligibility requirements.
• Bilingual in English and Japanese is a plus, with the ability to use both languages in a business environment.
• Ability to analyze basic tax and accounting information.
• Demonstrated quality service mindset, strong technical aptitude, critical thinking skills, and proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills.
• Flexible and adaptable team player with a resourceful approach to delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to learn and navigate technologies like AI, Alteryx, and Power BI.
• Must reside within a commutable distance to the office and have access to own transportation.
• Ability to travel to client premises as needed, often with short notice.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship is preferred.
