The Tone:

This role is crucial as a Property Accountant within the growing outsourced Client Accounting Services practice, serving as a valued business advisor to multiple real estate clients across the country. It offers the opportunity to provide essential property accounting services and contribute to the firm’s growth and innovation.

• Mission: Provide comprehensive property accounting services to multiple real estate clients nationwide in a cloud-based environment.
• Tech Stack: MS Office software/Excel, MRI, Yardi, cloud based accounting solutions

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reporting: Prepare and deliver monthly financial reporting packages for each assigned property.
• Record Management: Maintain accurate accounting records for ownership entities holding real estate assets.
• Financial Projections: Prepare annualized income and expense projections each month to aid in cash flow management and investor approval determination.
• Lease Administration: Work alongside Property Management to prepare tenant reconciliation settlements according to lease terms, and input new leases and renewals into property management software.
• Audit & Tax Support: Prepare necessary data to support annual financial statement audits and the preparation of tax returns.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Experience: One (1)+ years of experience in commercial real estate or public accounting with exposure to commercial real estate.
• Skills: Intermediate to advanced proficiency with MS Office software/Excel; excellent analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail; exceptional verbal and written communication, collaboration, and time management skills.
• Bonus: Development/Construction accounting background is preferred; experience with MRI or Yardi is preferred.
