Billing Services Associate | Deloitte

• Mission: Manages Deloitte’s accounts receivables through timely and compliant billing of federal government clients.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare Invoices: Prepare invoices for federal government clients, covering various contract types including cost reimbursable, time and materials, firm fixed price, and related variations.
• Compile Documentation: Compile backup documentation for invoices to comply with client invoice specifications and Deloitte’s internal record-keeping requirements.
• Manage Accounts: Prepare billing reconciliation, perform aging unbilled analysis, and manage the collection of aging receivables.
• Resolve Issues: Resolve invoicing issues that arise due to unique billing requirements, project adjustments, or system issues, including indirect and direct rate adjustments.
• Provide Support: Collaborate with other Finance and Contracts professionals to provide financial support.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or another business-related field. This role requires an individual to manage federal government accounts receivables through detailed financial processes.
• Experience: 1+ years of relevant federal government client/contracting experience in an accounting process such as invoicing, general accounting, finance, account reconciliations, and analysis.
• Skills: Intermediate Excel skills, strong attention to detail, and proven adherence to project deadlines.
• Bonus: Previous experience in professional services within a government contracting environment; Deltek Costpoint experience; experience with online invoicing systems such as WAWF/iRAPT, IPP, MPO, HHMSA; and knowledge of FAR/DAR/JTR/GSA.
