Project Senior Consultant, OSINT Forensics and Investigations | Deloitte
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Deloitte. The Regulatory, Risk & Forensic team helps clients understand and act on complex risks and evolving regulations to strengthen, protect, and transform their organizations. This role is crucial for supporting federal law enforcement by using advanced data, AI, and emerging technologies for investigations, bringing clarity to complex situations and accelerating value creation.

• Team: Forensic, Discovery, & Financial Crime offering within Deloitte’s Government & Public Services (GPS) practice
• Mission: Supports federal law enforcement investigations through open source and commercial data research and intelligence analysis.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Investigation Support: Support federal law enforcement investigations through open source and commercial data research and intelligence analysis to illuminate networks and identify leads.
• Data Collection & Analysis: Collect, analyze, and synthesize publicly available information to identify relevant actors, networks, trends, and digital traces.
• Intelligence Product Creation: Produce clear, defensible intelligence products, including intelligence notes, reports, and briefing materials, validating sources and documenting analytical confidence.
• Data Correlation: Correlate data from public records, social media, news, websites, and forums to build timelines, link charts, and entity profiles.
• Rapid Research: Support investigators with rapid-turn analysis and ad hoc research, ensuring compliance with legal, privacy, and policy requirements.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree; Senior-level experience conducting open source research or investigations.
• Experience: 5+ years of experience conducting open source research or investigations and producing analytical products or reporting, with an ability to travel 5-10% on average.
• Skills: Meticulous attention to detail and quality of work product; Effective written and verbal communication skills; Ability to lead projects or workstreams; Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently; Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.
• Bonus: Experience with investigative workflows and sensitive information handling; Experience supporting federal law enforcement or national security missions; Experience with digital footprint analysis, social media research, or visualization tools.
