ConvergeSPORTS – Product Forward Deployed Engineer | Deloitte
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Deloitte. The ConvergeSPORTS team builds AI-native decision intelligence products for sports organizations, leveraging proprietary data and Deloitte’s industry experience. This role is crucial for bridging the gap between market needs and product development, ensuring that what we build effectively solves real-world challenges in the sports industry and helps clients optimize performance.

• Pay: $61,700–$121,500 yearly

• Mission: Help shape data strategy for sports organizations while feeding field learnings back into product development.
• Tech Stack: SQL, customer data platform, CRM platform, BI tool (Tableau, Power BI), Python, generative AI application tooling
What You’ll Actually Do
• Support product demonstrations and client conversations, translating ConvergeSPORTS data and digital products into a clear business case.
• Deliver client-facing data work, including data discovery, segmentation, audience definition, and activation support.
• Document client workflows, data sources, and integration needs, then turn these into actionable requirements for the product team.
• Bring field observations back into product development, including identified gaps, workarounds, and repeated client requests.
• Build dashboards and reporting that make delivery progress and client outcomes visible across active engagements.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Analytics, Sport Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in data consulting, analytics, delivery, product, or technology implementation, with 1+ years of hands-on experience using data tooling.
• Skills: Comfort being client-facing and hands-on, ability to distinguish genuine product gaps from one-off requests, clear communication with technical and commercial audiences, willingness to work in ambiguity, and curiosity about sports organizations’ commercial and fan-engagement decisions.
• Bonus: Experience in sports, media, or entertainment organizations; customer data platform implementation, identity resolution, or audience segmentation experience; support for sponsorship or partnership activation programs; hands-on experience with Python or generative AI application tooling; client-facing consulting or pre-sales experience.
