Before and After School Site Director | Gateway Region YMCA
The Tone:
This is a Site Director role at Gateway Region YMCA, located in Wildwood, MO. This role is crucial for ensuring the successful, safe, and compliant operation of before and after school programs, directly impacting the well-being and development of children and fostering positive relationships within the community.
The TL;DR
• Location: In-person, Wildwood, MO
• Mission: Owns the planning, coordination, and compliant operation of before and after school programs, ensuring child safety, well-being, and development.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Direct: Plan and coordinate program activities and ensure operational compliance with YMCA, State, and School guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Nurture: Meet the individual developmental needs of children by implementing developmentally appropriate activities that advance social, emotional, intellectual, and physical competency.
• Engage: Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with staff, families, school personnel, and volunteers.
• Safeguard: Maintain an environment that ensures children, staff, and family safety and well-being, actively participating in youth protection with a zero-tolerance policy for abuse.
• Lead: Supervise and mentor group leaders and support staff to foster program growth and development.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Career level: Manager. Domain knowledge in youth program management, child development, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience: Experience in planning, coordinating, and operating youth programs, including staff supervision, child welfare, and stakeholder relationship management.
