This role is crucial for delivering specialized graduate-level instruction in Professionalism & Ethics, supporting the department’s extensive curriculum, and contributing significantly to the education and professional development of future counseling practitioners.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Instruct: Teach the assigned graduate course in Professionalism & Ethics, delivering all content face-to-face within the classroom setting on the Broken Arrow campus.
• Design: Develop and meticulously prepare all necessary course materials, ensuring they align with the curriculum standards for graduate counseling programs.
• Deliver: Provide instruction for assigned courses within the graduate counseling curriculum, thoughtfully integrating current technology into all delivery methods.
• Adapt: Be prepared to teach additional graduate-level courses in counseling as departmental needs arise, demonstrating flexibility to support program demands.
• Contribute: Support the department’s mission by effectively educating graduate students in essential ethical and professional practices critical for the counseling field.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A crucial requirement is holding one of the following qualifications: a PhD in Counselor Education & Supervision, a PhD or PsyD in Psychology, or a Master’s degree in Counseling coupled with an LPC-S License, signifying deep domain expertise suitable for graduate-level teaching.
• Experience: No specific prior professional experience is explicitly required for this adjunct position.
• Skills: Demonstrated expertise in the core principles of Professionalism & Ethics, proven capability in developing rigorous course materials for graduate students, effective instructional skills tailored for a graduate academic environment, and proficiency in integrating educational technology for classroom delivery.
• Bonus: Prior experience teaching counseling courses specifically at the graduate level is strongly preferred.
