The Tone:
This is a hybrid, part-time or full-time Operations Associate role at The Talent School Network, located in Lake Norman, NC. The company is a high-growth EdTech firm that develops technology and infrastructure for individualized, accredited learning pathways tailored to each student’s unique interests, strengths, and real-world experiences. This role is crucial in ensuring the seamless daily operations of this innovative educational network, directly supporting student growth while helping the company scale its diverse partner ecosystem across multiple states. You will be instrumental in making legitimate, accredited, and funded learning experiences out of activities traditionally considered extracurricular.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Student Engagement: Directly facilitate student learning and social development on campus two days a week, identifying individual needs, providing hands-on support for academic and practical challenges, and observing group dynamics to inform broader program improvements and individual student pathways.
• Operational Specialization: Rotate through four critical business specializations—Enrollment, Growth & Content, Partner Network, and Systems & Replication—gaining comprehensive exposure to a wide range of EdTech operations, from managing family communication funnels and digital acquisition campaigns to cultivating partner relationships and developing scalable operational infrastructure.
• Logistics & Events: Plan, organize, and lead multiple off-campus field trips annually, managing all associated details from destination selection and venue coordination to securing permissions, arranging transportation, and accurately tracking participant headcounts.
• Campus Initiatives: Contribute to the development and ongoing management of on-campus resources, including a student-designed boutique and the makerspace, handling responsibilities such as merchandising, inventory control, point-of-sale system management, and identifying popular products.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. This is an early career role that actively welcomes recent graduates, as well as career changers, individuals returning to the workforce after an absence, and those who have run their own ventures. Current CPR and First Aid certification is required before your start date.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to initiate, build, and successfully complete projects from conception to shipment, coupled with a proactive, resourceful approach to problem-solving in the absence of established playbooks or clear escalation paths.
• Skills: A genuine, non-negotiable love for working directly with children; strong interpersonal and customer-service instincts, enabling effective engagement with families, partners, and colleagues; clear, concise, and fast written communication for internal and external documentation; comfort with data analysis, CRM systems, and simple reporting to inform decision-making; and a fearless attitude towards learning and utilizing new technologies.
• Bonus: Prior professional experience in operations, education, youth programs, marketing, or admissions.
