Professionalism & Ethics – Adjunct Position for Graduate Program | Northeastern State University

This is a part-time adjunct position at Northeastern State University, located in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, with an expectation for face-to-face classroom instruction. The Department of Psychology & Counseling is seeking an expert educator to join its graduate counseling program. This role is crucial for developing future counseling professionals by providing specialized instruction in professionalism and ethics, integrating modern pedagogical approaches and technology into course delivery.

• Mission: To provide expert graduate-level instruction in Professionalism & Ethics and other counseling subjects, preparing students for professional practice while integrating modern teaching technologies.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Teach Specialized Courses: Provide instruction in graduate-level Professionalism & Ethics, alongside other graduate courses within the counseling program as determined by departmental needs.
• Develop Curriculum: Create and prepare comprehensive course materials to support effective learning for assigned graduate-level counseling courses.
• Deliver Instruction: Facilitate and teach assigned courses, ensuring alignment with the program’s curriculum and educational standards.
• Integrate Technology: Incorporate relevant technology into all aspects of course delivery, enhancing the learning experience for face-to-face classes.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Doctorate (PhD in Counselor Education & Supervision, PhD or PsyD in Psychology) or a Master’s degree in Counseling with an LPC-S License, demonstrating comprehensive expertise in counseling theories, ethical practices, and psychological principles relevant to graduate-level education.
• Experience: No specific prior professional experience is explicitly required beyond the educational and licensure prerequisites.
• Skills: Expertise in the pedagogical delivery of graduate-level Professionalism & Ethics content; proven ability to develop and structure comprehensive course materials; demonstrated capability to effectively deliver assigned courses within a structured curriculum; proficiency in integrating and utilizing technology to enhance face-to-face course delivery.
• Bonus: Prior experience teaching counseling at the graduate level.
