What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop: Develop comprehensive knowledge of Company products, procedures, and material specifications, including a detailed understanding of panel and lumber grades, lumber math, and the efficient utilization of materials, cuts, and yields through dedicated on-the-job training.
• Master: Master the operation of the Company’s business system to effectively perform required administrative functions, and gain detailed knowledge of product costing and the production scheduling process.
• Supervise: Actively supervise plant activities, ensuring all operations are consistent with Company policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations, promoting a compliant and efficient work environment.
• Apply: Cultivate and apply working knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies, efficiency standards, and safety protocols to optimize manufacturing processes and contribute to operational excellence.
• Analyze: Prepare and analyze various operational reports as required, contributing to a working understanding of the budget and expense control process, and developing a detailed understanding of overall operations by touring other UFP facilities and customer locations.

• Background: Entry-Level professional. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in business or a related discipline, or equivalent professional work experience, demonstrating foundational knowledge applicable to manufacturing operations and management development.
