This Product Finance Manager role is vital for providing strategic financial partnership and analysis to product management and engineering teams, directly contributing to informed decisions that drive the development and commercial success of solutions designed to “Keep Our Heroes Connected” and build a safer future.

• Mission: This person provides financial support and analysis for product development and commercial strategies, ensuring informed decision-making throughout the product lifecycle.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Product Lifecycle Partnership: Act as the business partner to the Product, R&D, and Engineering teams, providing finance support for new product integrations and conducting financial analysis to advise on decisions throughout the product lifecycle, encompassing R&D, launch, pricing actions, margin improvement, and end-of-life strategies.
• Strategic Pricing and Business Cases: Lead the finance perspective on strategic pricing initiatives and collaborate with Product, Engineering, R&D, Sales, and Operations to implement comprehensive business cases and commercial plans.
• Financial Forecasting Leadership: Lead the forecast process for new product lines, producing accurate order unit, revenue, and cost forecasts to support Commit View (CV) and Long Range Planning (LRP) objectives.
• Performance Analysis and Reporting: Report actual product performance, conduct detailed variance analysis compared to historical benchmarks and forecasted results, and decompose key business and financial drivers to identify opportunities for operating efficiencies.
• Process Optimization and Dashboarding: Drive process efficiency by fostering cross-functional collaboration between Finance, Product, R&D, and Operations, standardizing the framework for planning and analyzing the business, and developing financial dashboards and key performance reporting metrics using high-quality data.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a highly related field; must also be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to involvement with clients under U.S. federal contracts.
• Experience: Possess a minimum of 8 years of total experience accumulated in public accounting, corporate finance, or strategic finance roles at either a high-growth startup or a well-established company, with specific, demonstrated experience supporting product finance functions and new product integrations.
• Skills: Exhibit advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel, including the ability to build complex financial models and manipulate large datasets effectively; demonstrate excellent critical thinking and analytical capabilities paired with formidable attention to detail.
• Bonus: Experience includes 2+ years in supervisory, people management, or function management capacities, particularly in managing multi-site teams or operations; prior exposure to and hands-on experience with Oracle, NetSuite, Oracle Smart Views, and/or other accounting/ERP systems; proficiency with Spreadsheets, Presentations, and Ghant Charts, or a strong willingness to acquire these skills.
