Finance Analyst, FP&A | ESAB Corporation

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at ESAB Corporation, located in North Bethesda, MD, with a hybrid work schedule. ESAB is a global leader in fabrication technology, specialty gas control equipment, welding consumables, and cutting systems. This position is vital for supporting the organization’s financial planning and analysis function, providing critical insights and reports across all regions to Finance Leadership. The role contributes to continuous improvement and innovation within the company’s financial processes.

• Team: Supports the FP&A function and reports to Finance Leadership.
• Mission: Support the financial planning and analysis function by preparing, improving, and analyzing financial reports and consolidating roll-ups across all regions.
• Tech Stack: Hyperion, BPC, Microsoft Office applications

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reporting: Prepare and provide regular and ad-hoc financial reports on a daily and weekly basis to various stakeholders.
• Improvement: Continuously improve existing financial reports and develop new ones as necessary to meet business needs.
• Coordination: Liaise with various finance leaders across the business and in-house Shared Service Center (SSC) teams to support financial processes.
• Analysis: Consolidate and analyze year-to-date and projected financial performance, including P&L, SG&A, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
• Planning: Coordinate closing activities, budgeting, planning, and budgetary control for the organization.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Experience: 0-3 years of experience in an FP&A or financial reporting/analysis role, with prior experience using financial consolidation systems/applications.
• Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, and strong financial acumen with the ability to quickly learn complex reporting systems and terminology.
• Bonus: Experience working with international teams, related professional certifications (ACCA/CIMA/CPA/CFA), prior working experience with Hyperion or BPC, experience working with multiple currencies and optimizing the company’s FX strategy, and solid knowledge of reporting frameworks (US GAAP) and process optimization.
