What You’ll Actually Do
• Design: Assist in designing wireframes, prototypes, and user interface components for both web and mobile platforms.
• Research: Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and actively improve existing and new designs.
• Collaborate: Work cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and other designers to bring design ideas to fruition.
• System Application: Learn and apply Gemini’s design system to ensure consistency across all product offerings.
• Documentation: Support the team by preparing design documentation and presentations for various stakeholders.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Pursuing an associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degree in Product Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or Engineering.
• Experience: Potential experience with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe CS (Photoshop and Illustrator), and the Google suite of apps; familiar with basics around HTML/CSS and JavaScript.
• Skills: Demonstrates proficient understanding of typography, hierarchy, motion, and interactive design principles; possesses excellent time management with strong organizational, communication, and conceptual thinking skills; able to explore multiple solutions for design problems; operates as a team player and self-starter with a hunger for collaboration across design, product, and engineering.
