Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to join our Process Sciences team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain real hands-on experience in cell culture and bioprocessing within a dynamic laboratory setting. What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

• Work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a client-focused laboratory environment.
• Support small-scale experiments and essential lab operations, including:
  • Media and buffer preparation.
  • Aliquoting and aseptic transfers.
  • Bioreactor builds and probe calibrations.
  • Autoclaving and general laboratory support.
• Run cell culture experiments, spanning from shake flask scale to bioreactor operations.
• Assist with sample analysis and maintain accurate, organized records for all experimental work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biological Sciences, or a closely related field.
• Hands-on technical lab experience and demonstrated competence in basic lab techniques.
• Experience with mammalian cell culture using aseptic technique (preferred).
• Familiarity with small-scale fed-batch bioreactors (e.g., 2L systems) (preferred).
• cGMP experience is a plus.
• Strong focus, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to work 8:00 PM to 4:30 AM shifts when needed.
• Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, NY and the surrounding areas are encouraged to apply.

Additional Information

• Position Type: Full-time, Monday – Friday.
• Primary Shift: 2nd shift (6:00 PM – 2:30 AM).
• Flexibility: Applicants must have the ability to work 8:00 PM to 4:30 AM shifts when needed.
• Compensation Range: $21.50 – $22.50 per hour.
• Shift Differential: An additional 10% shift differential is provided for second-shift work.
