Principle Specialist – Accounting & Controllership | Raytheon

• Mission: Resolve complex accounting and controllership challenges related to material resource planning, inventory costs, and project closures.
• Tech Stack: SAP, APEX, PRISM, MS Office tools (Excel), Business Warehouse (BW), comparable MRP Tool

What You’ll Actually Do
• MRP Analysis & Reporting: Analyze MRP supply and demand issues, resolve discrepancies with internal customers, research exception/non-program accounts like scrap and excess, and provide daily/weekly reporting of GPD errors using PRISM MRP data.
• Material Group Setup: Assist with new material group set-ups to ensure the correct grouping of operative Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) elements, facilitating accurate accounting.
• Cost & Variance Research: Conduct extensive analysis and research into inventory cost shifts, undistributed costs, and variances, supporting team members in understanding financial impacts.
• Project Closure Management: Provide essential support for all Project Closure activities, collaborating closely with several cross-functional teams to finalize projects efficiently.
• Cross-Functional Support: Deliver comprehensive support to internal customers by interacting with various functions such as Production Control, Operations, Supply Chain, and Program Management, to identify and resolve grouping, pegging, and distribution errors, and complete PRISM closures.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Possesses a University Degree or equivalent experience in accounting, finance, or a related field, or an Advanced Degree, providing the foundational knowledge for accounting and controllership functions.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience, or 3 years with an Advanced Degree, specifically working with financial systems such as SAP, APEX, or PRISM, and demonstrating proficiency with MS Office tools, particularly Excel.
• Skills: Exhibits solid analytical capabilities with a high attention to detail and accuracy, along with professional communication skills suitable for email, Teams chats, and calls, and a customer-oriented approach to problem-solving.
• Bonus: Preferred qualifications include the ability to lead PRISM team meetings for essential work product such as pegging error resolution and project closure processing, experience with manufacturing processes, supply and demand, or inventory management, and a self-starter mindset with strong organizational skills.
