Job Summary

Schulte Companies is seeking a dynamic, service-oriented Part-Time Barista to join our team at Graduate by Hilton Madison. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages, prepared foods, and baked goods, while ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining a clean, well-stocked, and organized work environment.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves hot and cold beverages (e.g., coffee, blended coffee, tea) to patrons, customizing orders correctly as requested.
• Describes product details to customers effectively.
• Receives and processes customer payments accurately.
• Serves prepared foods and baked goods, including sandwiches, biscotti, muffins, or bagels.
• Ensures customer service stations are properly stocked with paper products and beverage preparation items.
• Cleans and sanitizes all equipment, utensils, dishes, and work areas thoroughly.
• Cleans and sanitizes service and seating areas regularly.
• Ensures proper functioning of freezers, refrigerators, and heating equipment by routinely checking temperatures.
• Stocks supplies or retail products; may inventory, order, or receive products as directed.
• Performs various other duties as assigned to support operations.

Education And Experience

• Minimum of High School education preferred.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Strong team player mentality.
• Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally with guests and team members.
• Proven ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members.
• Ability to operate available equipment, such as cash registers and calculators.
• Basic mathematical skills required for making change and giving refunds.
• Ability to work flexible hours and shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
