About the Job

Summit Media is seeking a motivated and creative Paid Social Media & Content Creation Intern to join our team in Anchorage, Alaska. This is a unique opportunity for current college Juniors/Seniors or recent graduates interested in marketing, public relations, social media, or content creation to gain hands-on experience working with notable Alaska-based brands.

Summit Media works across a wide variety of industries, including nightlife, retail, hospitality, and events, offering interns hands-on experience you won’t find anywhere else in Anchorage. From assisting on live event shoots to helping develop social media content for well-known local brands, this role provides significant exposure to the fast-paced world of modern marketing.

Internship Details

• Position: Paid Social Media & Content Creation Intern
• Location: Anchorage, Alaska (In-person / Hybrid)
• Pay: $20 per hour
• Hours: 10–15 hours per week
• Eligibility: Open to current college students or recent graduates. Applicants must be 21+ due to the nature of some client venues and events.

While there is flexibility for hybrid work, interns should expect to be in-office or on-location for content shoots and events when needed.

What You’ll Do

As a Summit Media intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting marketing campaigns and social media initiatives for local businesses and events. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with photo and video shoots for clients and events
• Editing short-form video content for platforms like Instagram Reels and TikTok
• Helping prepare and schedule social media posts
• Organizing content libraries and digital assets
• Capturing quick content clips or photos for social media
• Running occasional errands or assisting with shoot preparation
• Supporting marketing campaigns for Anchorage businesses and events

Qualifications

Summit Media is looking for someone who is eager to learn, creative, and reliable.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Light experience with photography (camera or strong phone content creation)
• Basic video editing skills (Reels/TikTok style content)
• Familiarity with CapCut, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Lightroom, or Premiere is a plus
• Comfortable working with Instagram, TikTok, and social media trends
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow creative direction
• Reliable transportation in Anchorage
• Willingness to occasionally work evenings or weekends when events or shoots take place
