Job Description:

This posting is for an Outpatient Therapy Internship.

• Application Period: Currently collecting applications for Spring 2026 placements.
• Location: Internships are offered at Minnesota Clinic locations only. Note that internships are not available at Wisconsin locations, and a separate application exists for Iowa placements.
• Accepted Tracks: Applications are being accepted from students pursuing licensure tracks for LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker), LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist), or LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor).
• Compensation: This is a PAID internship experience, offering a monthly stipend of $1250.
• Exclusions: This specific application is not for LADC (Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor) or co-occurring field placements; those seeking such placements should refer to the SUD internship application.
• Requirements:
• Educational Degree: Applicants must be currently pursuing a master’s degree in social work, counseling, or psychology from an accredited university. The eventual goal of the degree program should be eligibility for licensure as an LPCC, LICSW, or LP (Licensed Psychologist).
• Prior Experience: Candidates are required to have prior experience in the mental health field. This can include previous practicum experience, professional work experience, or relevant life experience. Common examples of relevant prior experience include roles such as an Independent Living Skills Worker, or experience in inpatient mental health, behavioral programs, or residential settings.
