Operations Management Development Program 2027 | GALLO

The Tone:
This is a full-time, onsite rotational program at GALLO, spanning various operational sites. GALLO is a family-owned company with over 90 years of legacy, known for its 130+ brands in wine, malt, spirits, and ready-to-drink beverages, including top U.S. brands like Barefoot Wine and High Noon. This program is designed for high-potential leaders ready to build a dynamic career in Operations, offering hands-on experience, leadership development, and the opportunity to make a meaningful business impact.

• Pay: $70,400–$105,600 yearly

• Mission: Develop future operational leaders through hands-on experience and real business challenges across diverse operational areas.

What You’ll Actually Do
Impact Operations: Rotate through a variety of leadership and technical assignments across functions such as winery and spirits plant operations, harvest operations, maintenance, supply chain, quality, and performance engineering.
Develop Solutions: Gain exposure to operating procedures, policies, projects, and performance goals while developing solutions that support safety, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives like Lean Six Sigma.
Lead Teams: Collaborate with teams across multiple sites, communicate project status, and support process improvements, including two expected rotational assignments in Team Leader roles with hourly direct report responsibilities.
Build Leadership Skills: Develop the skills needed to lead people, manage work, and make informed operational decisions throughout the program rotations.
Coach and Mentor: Develop, coach, and mentor direct reports, building a strong foundation for future leadership at GALLO within your Team Leader assignments.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, Operations Management, Engineering, or Engineering Management; OR possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in these fields; OR currently enrolled or have obtained a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree plus a manufacturing internship or participation in GALLO’s Cultivate Internship Program.
• Experience: Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary; availability to work at different sites or locations throughout program rotations, with potential necessity for relocation; required travel up to 5% for company offices, sites, training, meetings, and events.
• Skills: Demonstrated leadership skills with strong enlisting and engaging abilities; excellent oral and written communication; excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments.
• Bonus: Prior internship experience, especially in operations, manufacturing, project or process management, CPG manufacturing systems, winery or beverage manufacturing systems, agricultural equipment and infrastructure systems, glass manufacturing systems, or R&D stage gate processes; Senior Class standing working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering or Engineering Management; Wine/Spirits/beverages knowledge, including fermentation science, separations, winery processes, wine chemistry, new product development/innovation, food safety, and HAACP.
