Administrative Assistant/Clerk | CMC

The Tone:

What You’ll Actually Do
• Administrative Management: Manage general administrative functions, including processing telephone calls, handling email correspondence, sorting mail, and maintaining organized filing systems.
• Customer Relations: Provide essential customer service, ensuring that customer needs are met and all contract requirements are fulfilled accurately and efficiently.
• Payroll Processing: Execute weekly payroll functions and approvals within the designated time-keeping system, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
• Data Entry & Order Processing: Process incoming purchase orders and perform critical production entry into the FACTS system.
• Logistics Support: Utilize FACTS to facilitate material transfers, produce necessary shipping documents, and manage billing-related tasks such as sending pick tickets and creating required backorders.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED, with an Associate’s degree or higher preferred. This role requires demonstrated administrative and organizational capabilities, combined with the ability to manage workloads and effectively prioritize tasks within a supportive team environment.
• Experience: Proven track record in administrative and organizational functions, ideally within an office setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications is required, specifically demonstrating strong capabilities in word processing and general data management.
• Skills: Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced proficiency in Excel being highly preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for interacting effectively with customers, employees, and business leaders. Exceptional interpersonal skills are crucial for effective teamwork, alongside keen awareness and accuracy in all tasks, and the ability to maintain confidentiality, work independently, multi-task, and prioritize effectively.
• Bonus: An Associate’s degree or higher education, providing a broader foundational knowledge for potential career growth within CMC.
