The OD Coordinator is a pivotal front-line position, serving as the welcoming face of our Exam Practice and dedicated to ensuring the best possible journey for every patient from the moment they arrive.

• Mission: Ensure a seamless and positive patient experience from initial contact through their eye exam and transition to the sales floor.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Patient Records & Preliminary Testing: Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducting necessary preliminary testing.
• Patient Flow Management: Introduce patients to the Optometrist, provide important patient information, and transition them smoothly from the doctor to the sales floor, informing associates about their eye care needs.
• Operational Support: Execute daily operational activities to support exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals, including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones for patient needs.
• Financial Oversight: Count the Optometrist’s daily revenue and meticulously prepare it for deposit.
• Staff Scheduling: Prepare the work schedules for OD Technicians to effectively meet both patient and doctor demands.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent related job experience.
• Experience: Related customer or patient experience is preferred, though not strictly required for this role.
• Skills: Knowledgeable about eye health and preliminary testing, optics, Visionworks products/services, and managed vision care.
• Bonus: Licensed OD Technicians should possess and maintain a current State Opticians License.
