Nucleic Acid Analytics Intern | SonoThera
The Tone:
SonoThera develops ultrasound-mediated, non-viral targeted therapies to unlock genetic medicines’ full potential. This role joins the Gene Therapy group to enable precise, redosable delivery across various diseases. The work aims to overcome key limitations in genetic medicine delivery.

• Role: Nucleic Acid Analytics Intern
• Team: Gene Therapy group, reports to Scientist
• Mission: Support efforts to characterize gene therapy vectors delivery efficiency in diverse preclinical models.
• Tech Stack: ddPCR, RT-qPCR, Benchling
What You’ll Actually Do
• Sample Handling: Process and manage tissue and other samples effectively.
• Assay Execution: Perform DNA and RNA extraction from animal tissues, ddPCR, and RT-qPCR.
• Data Management: Analyze data, prepare slides, and present findings.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records using Benchling and apply strong organizational skills.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a basic understanding of high school level biology/chemistry.
• Experience: Basic technical experience in preparing samples for RNA and DNA analyses.
• Skills: Strong record-keeping and organizational skills; strong verbal and written communication.
