Nonprofit Operations Intern | Radical Catalyst Art & Literary Journal
The Tone:
This is an internship at Radical Catalyst Art & Literary Journal, located remotely. Radical Catalyst is an LGBTQ+ arts and literary nonprofit journal dedicated to fostering community and voice. This role is crucial for strengthening internal systems, supporting fundraising, coordinating programs, and building the essential infrastructure for our growing organization. The intern will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of nonprofit management and operations, contributing directly to our mission.

• Mission: Strengthen internal systems, support fundraising efforts, coordinate programs, and help build the infrastructure of our growing nonprofit.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Program Coordination: Assist with planning and executing Radical Catalyst workshops, events, and community programming.
• Fundraising Support: Support fundraising efforts, including grant research, prospect research, donor outreach, sponsorship research, and fundraising campaigns.
• Board Development: Support the development and coordination of Radical Catalyst’s Board of Directors, including board communications, meeting preparation, onboarding materials, and tracking board-related tasks.
• Record Management: Maintain organizational records, including attendance tracking, volunteer information, and internal documentation.
• Operational Improvement: Help improve operational systems and processes across the organization, and provide administrative and project support to the Operations Director and leadership team.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. A serious interest in nonprofit management, arts organizations, social justice, publishing, or community engagement.
• Experience: No prior experience explicitly required, but comfort with administrative tasks, research, outreach, and relationship-building is expected.
• Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bonus: Experience with fundraising, event planning, nonprofit operations, communications, project management, or board governance is preferred but not required. Applicants passionate about Radical Catalyst’s mission and eager to learn about nonprofit leadership and organizational development are highly welcome.
