Non-Profit Operations Intern | Public Health Beyond Borders
The Tone:
This is a seasonal internship at Public Health Beyond Borders, Inc., an early-stage non-profit. The organization empowers students to make a global health impact through health education and strategic advocacy. This role is crucial for supporting the operational capacity and growth of the organization as it expands its university chapters and community partnerships. Interns will contribute directly to the scaling efforts and strategic development of a volunteer-run global health initiative.

• Team: Rotates between the Development Team and Communications Team, with involvement in weekly team meetings and monthly full Board of Directors meetings.
• Mission: This person supports the scaling and operational efforts of an early-stage global health non-profit through focused work in development and communications.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Grant Support: Support grant writing and fundraising strategy through research and drafting content for a small 501(c)3 organization.
• Social Media Management: Create social media content, manage content calendars, and analyze engagement for communications campaigns.
• Email Marketing: Develop email marketing copy and assist with platform operations and training.
• Team Collaboration: Participate in weekly team meetings to align on operational tasks and collaborative projects.
• Strategic Exposure: Attend monthly Board of Directors meetings to gain insight into organizational strategy and governance.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in public health, health sciences, non-profit management, or a related field.
• Experience: No specific prior professional experience is required for this internship role.
• Skills: Demonstrated interest in ethical and sustainable global health development; Strong research and writing abilities for various communication channels; Eagerness to learn and apply skills in social media and email marketing.
• Bonus: Previous involvement in a Public Health Beyond Borders university chapter.
