Role Overview:
As a Municipal Engineering Intern, you will work alongside Michigan’s dedicated team of Municipal Professionals focused on enhancing local infrastructure. This internship offers the opportunity to contribute to engineering projects for municipal clients, involving design, field inspections, and other crucial engineering tasks.
Location:
This internship will be based in our Detroit, MI office and involves occasional travel to project sites. This structure ensures you benefit from mentorship by professionals both in and outside the office during your internship.
What We Are Looking For (Qualifications):
- Education: Pursuing your bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant industry field such as:
- Civil Engineering
- Construction Engineering
- Environmental Engineering
- Other related engineering degrees
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage assignments efficiently and maintain strong organizational skills.
- Interest Areas: Strong interest in infrastructure, water waste/sewer, and hydraulic or related areas.
- Physical Demands: Ability to handle job demands, including lifting 25 lbs and working in various environmental conditions.
- Transportation: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from job sites.
