Membership Operations Intern | Utah Jazz
The Tone:
This is a part-time internship at Utah Jazz, located primarily in Sandy, UT, with additional work at the Delta Center for games and events. The Membership department is dedicated to providing world-class service and delivering unique experiences and benefits to Utah Jazz, Utah Mammoth, and Delta Center event patrons. This role is crucial for assisting the department in furthering its mission, offering significant learning opportunities in sports and event management, hospitality, relationship management, and service strategies.

• Mission: This role supports the Membership department in delivering world-class service and unique experiences to patrons by providing operational and administrative assistance for events, gifting programs, and team initiatives.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Support the Senior Operations Manager with planning and executing events, gifting programs, and ongoing team initiatives.
• Operate: Assist with day-of-event operations, including setup, guest flow, ticket scanning, troubleshooting issues, and post-event breakdown.
• Manage Inventory: Help track and organize inventory for gifting, event supplies, and team materials, including receiving shipments, restocking, and preparing items for distribution.
• Coordinate Logistics: Assist with internal team needs such as preparing materials, assembling gift packages, printing signage, and coordinating logistics across departments.
• Communicate Progress: Contribute to project timelines and checklists by updating task status, flagging issues, and communicating progress to the Senior Operations Manager.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level position focused on learning aspects of sports and event management, hospitality, relationship management, and service strategies.
• Experience: No specific years required, but must be a self-starter comfortable with learning and collaborating in a team environment.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with excellent oral and written communication; Proficient in Google Workspace, including Google Docs and Google Sheets; Strong attention to detail.
• Bonus: Demonstrated ability to present oneself in a confident and professional manner, representing the organization’s brand and values, and maintaining a positive, team-oriented attitude.
