Job Summary / General Responsibilities

This position offers a valuable opportunity to contribute to critical projects by conducting field and laboratory testing of concrete, soil, asphalt, and aggregates. The role is designed for individuals seeking a progressively increased scope of training and responsibility in a professional engineering consulting environment.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities

• Performs sampling or testing as directed, adhering to established protocols and safety guidelines.
• Provides essential assistance to other field and/or laboratory personnel, supporting team objectives and project timelines.
• Transports equipment, specimens, or documents to field personnel, the laboratory, clients, or other offices, and provides physical assistance in equipment set-up, ensuring operational readiness.
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment by thoroughly cleaning equipment, vehicles, and designated work areas.
• Assists other technicians or professional staff on routine tasks, contributing to overall project efficiency and successful outcomes.
• Will be placed in a progressively increased role of training and responsibility in work assignments, fostering continuous professional development and career growth.

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma.
• Academic Pursuit: Currently pursuing a BS degree in a science or related field, such as Environmental Science, Safety, various branches of Engineering (e.g., Civil, Materials), Chemistry, Biology, or Geology.
• Ideal Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will have less than one year remaining to complete their BS degree, indicating readiness to transition into a full-time professional role upon graduation.
