The Medidata Summer Internship Program

Medidata’s internship program offers an exceptional opportunity for students to accelerate their careers by working alongside experienced professionals, gaining valuable, hands-on, full-time work experience within a global organization. Interns will build a strong foundation for their career goals, immersed in a culture of curiosity, innovation, and fun, united by the goal of empowering smarter treatments and healthier people.

This 12-week program begins on May 18, 2026, providing interns with a deep understanding of what it means to be a “Medidatian.” Interns will contribute to the line of business with sustainable and meaningful work.

In addition to individual responsibilities, each intern will participate in the Intern Innovation Lab. Assigned to cross-functional teams, interns will collaborate to develop innovative solutions to current business problems facing Medidata. They will diligently work towards presenting their final solutions to a panel of top Medidata leaders, confident that their contributions will make a significant impact on the business.

About the Team: Marketing Operations Intern

The Marketing Operations Intern will be an integral part of the team, supporting the execution of operational tasks for the Email Marketing and Lead Management teams. This role involves critical activities such as AB testing, process documentation, and AI innovation. The intern will collaborate closely with the broader Marketing team to explore AI-driven improvements, optimize creative asset management, and enhance data quality, all contributing to overall campaign effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the construction of new AI process improvements for the Marketing department.
  • Execute AI-Assisted A/B testing on various email elements and generate comprehensive performance reports for insights sharing.
  • Oversee the management and organization of creative assets within Email Marketing tools.
  • Develop a strong understanding of existing processes to ensure marketing activities consistently meet Service Level Agreement (SLA) agreements.
  • Build an understanding of the technology, integrations, and automations that support marketing processes.
  • Conduct mass data clean-ups and implement controls to ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Utilize Excel to perform quick data analysis and complete data-related tasks efficiently.
  • Assist in the creation of presentation decks and comprehensive process documentation.
  • Handle other duties as assigned to support the team’s objectives.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program with a focus on Operations, Computer Science, Business, Marketing, or Engineering.
  • Possess an analytical mindset, enjoying a “test and learn” approach to new technologies.
  • Demonstrate a strong interest in AI toolsets, process automation, and project management.
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets, Google Slides, Google Drive, and the Microsoft Office platform. Experience with Marketing CRM or Marketing Automation Platform (MAP) tools is a significant plus.
  • Exhibit precise attention to detail and a proactive willingness to learn and contribute effectively to a fast-paced team environment.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

Salary Information

The base hourly pay range for this position, physically based in New York, is $25-$28 per hour (depending on experience). Medidata sets salary ranges based on various factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York may differ based on local market data.
