Marketing Intern | South Carolina Stingrays

This is an internship at South Carolina Stingrays, located in North Charleston, SC. The South Carolina Stingrays is a professional sports organization that operates a hockey team and engages with its community. This role is crucial for supporting the Marketing Manager in the planning, coordination, and execution of various community programs, initiatives, and events, while also contributing to digital and social media efforts. This opportunity allows current college students and recent graduates to gain relevant experience and understand the operations of a professional sports organization.

• Mission: Assist the Marketing Manager with all planning, coordinating, and execution of community programs, initiatives, events, and digital and social media efforts.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Digital Growth: Work closely with the Marketing Manager to facilitate the growth of digital and social media initiatives.
• Content Production: Play a key role in capturing and producing content for the Stingrays social media channels.
• Content Strategy: Support the Marketing Manager with idea generation and content planning.
• Event Execution: Assist in the execution of game day promotions and social media activations.
• Community Engagement: Provide assistance with the planning, coordination, and execution of community programs, initiatives, and events.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Must be a current college student or recent graduate seeking relevant experience in marketing or a related field.
• Experience: No specific years of experience required. Practical experience supporting digital and social media content creation and planning is beneficial.
• Skills: Must display excellent oral and written communication skills; able to interact comfortably with fans of all ages and backgrounds; reliable, punctual, able to follow instructions and respond to manager’s instructions; displays a positive and upbeat attitude; must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license; must be available and willing to work long hours including evenings and weekends.
