About the Internship

As our global footprint continues to spread across the world, we are looking for a Marketing Intern to join our team in Northbrook, IL. This internship offers real-world marketing experience within a global safety science leader, providing mentorship, projects for your portfolio, and exposure to our mission-driven culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support digital campaigns (social, email, web, paid) with planning, activation, and performance tracking.
  • Draft and refine content for social channels, email, web copy, and internal communications.
  • Update the website via CMS and assist with SEO efforts.
  • Conduct market, audience, and competitor research to inform campaign planning.
  • Assist with event preparation, logistics, and post-event follow-up.
  • Maintain organized documentation and support administrative needs.
  • Follow the UL Standards of Business Conduct and adhere to all physical and digital security practices.
  • Contribute to business success by performing other tasks as required.

  • Rising senior currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective collaboration skills with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced, values-driven environment.
  • Solid business acumen and analytical skills.
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing platforms and Microsoft Office tools.

Nice to Have

  • Basic knowledge of analytics or reporting tools.
  • Any prior marketing or content experience (academic or extracurricular).

  • Total Rewards: The hourly rate for this role is $23.50 – $25.00.
  • Qualified candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus to assist with housing, travel, and other relocation expenses, subject to terms and conditions.
  • Your internship will consist of a 10-12 week long project, networking opportunities, learning & development initiatives, and will provide you with the opportunity to make a real-world impact.
