Marketing & HQ Office Support Intern (Paid)

Location: Charlotte, NC

Schedule: In-Office (Mandatory) | 20 hours per week, between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Compensation: $18/hour

Internship Overview

Meridian Waste is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Marketing & HQ Office Support Intern to join our corporate headquarters in Charlotte. This paid internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience by supporting various marketing initiatives, corporate events, community outreach programs, and general office operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, and be eager to acquire real-world experience in corporate marketing and administrative support roles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of corporate events, trade shows, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Provide support for grassroots marketing and outreach efforts, including both internal and external communications.
  • Help manage social media content, rapid communications, and basic content scheduling for various platforms.
  • Offer administrative support to the corporate office, which includes tasks such as document organization, electronic file storage management, shipping/distribution logistics, and expense reporting assistance.
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of marketing materials, presentations, and internal communications as required.
  • Support day-to-day office operations and contribute to special projects across various departments.

  • Working knowledge of popular social media platforms and various digital communication tools.
  • Ability to produce high-quality work efficiently, even with minimal supervision.
  • Capable of light lifting (20-25 pounds) within a typical office environment.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in or recent graduation from an academic program in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated interest in corporate marketing, event management, or communications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with social media management tools is a significant plus.
