Marketing and Event Planning Internship | TIDEWATER
The Tone:
This is a Marketing and Event Planning Internship at TIDEWATER, located in Charleston, SC. TIDEWATER operates as Charleston’s premier private social club, providing elevated dining, handcrafted cocktails, indoor golf simulators, pickleball, and curated experiences in a luxury, community-driven setting for leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals. This role is crucial for delivering a seamless member experience, offering hands-on involvement in hospitality, marketing, event planning, and member engagement behind the scenes of a growing, luxury private club. You will contribute directly to creating and executing the member experience from start to finish.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Event Planning: Execute member events from initial concept through completion.
• Event Coordination: Coordinate event logistics, vendor communication, timelines, and event setup.
• Content Creation: Develop social media content, including photography, videography, and new ideas.
• Marketing Support: Assist with email marketing campaigns, newsletters, and promotional materials for club initiatives.
• Operations Support: Support day-to-day club operations while learning luxury private club functions.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level college student pursuing a degree in Marketing, Hospitality, Communications, Public Relations, Event Management, Business, or Sports Management. This internship must be eligible for college credit through your university.
• Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills; exceptional attention to detail; creative mindset with an interest in social media, branding, and event experiences; comfortable working in a collaborative environment.
• Bonus: Familiarity with Canva, CapCut, or similar design platforms; familiarity with Meta; availability to work occasional evenings for member events (scheduled and agreed upon in advance).
