Job Title: Marketing & Communications Intern

Job Overview

Ardmore Roderick is seeking a dynamic Marketing & Communications Intern to join its team of infrastructure solutions experts. This internship offers the opportunity to contribute to solving clients’ evolving project needs. The position will be based in our Chicago, IL office, with potential for a hybrid work arrangement depending on specific client, project, and team requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Marketing Support: Assist the marketing team with daily activities across various platforms, including social media, the company website, intranet, and internal communications.
  • Social Media Strategy & Management: Help develop strategies to increase followership and engagement on Ardmore Roderick’s social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram). This includes drafting, scheduling, and publishing social media posts while adhering to brand voice and guidelines.
  • Content Research: Research industry trends to identify compelling content ideas and best practices for marketing initiatives.
  • Digital Asset Management: Support the organization and management of the company’s photo and digital asset library.
  • Graphic Design: Assist in the creation of simple graphics and visual assets, such as templates and social media graphics, as needed.
  • Newsletter Development: Aid in the development and execution of both internal and external newsletters.
  • Quality Assurance: Assist with proofreading and conducting quality checks to ensure accuracy, proper grammar, and consistent brand messaging across all communications.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university program.
  • Majoring in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Comfortable working effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Possesses a detail-oriented and organized approach, with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.
  • Exhibits a team player mindset, capable of proficient written and verbal communication.
  • Possesses good to excellent organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working independently with appropriate guidance and reliable in meeting deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar software.
  • An interest in analytics, reporting, or digital strategy.
  • Previous internship experience, involvement in campus organizations, or relevant project work.

Hourly Pay: $25. Ardmore Roderick provides this compensation range based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
