ITW Performance Polymers, a division within ITW’s Polymers & Fluids segment, is headquartered in Massachusetts with additional operations in Pennsylvania, Florida, and Shannon, Ireland. This division is a world leader in the research, development, and manufacturing of structural and semi-structural adhesives, grouting and chocking compounds, sprayable syntactic materials, and wear-resistant coatings and repair compounds.

Role Overview

ITW Performance Polymers is seeking a motivated and analytical Marketing Co-Op. This role will primarily support strategic initiatives through both primary and secondary market research. The Co-Op will directly contribute to identifying new market segments, understanding customer needs, and informing growth strategies across the product portfolio. In addition to supporting ongoing projects, the Co-Op will lead a capstone research project. This project will focus on identifying new market opportunities and presenting actionable insights to senior leadership. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute significantly to impactful projects within a division of a market-leading Fortune 300 organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct primary research through surveys, interviews, and field studies to gather customer insights.
  • Perform secondary research using industry reports, databases, and academic sources to analyze market trends and competitive landscapes.
  • Support segmentation analysis across multiple levels, including industry verticals, application types, geography, and customer profiles.
  • Assist in synthesizing research findings into actionable insights, culminating in a final presentation to internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Sales, and R&D, to align research with business objectives.
  • Maintain organized documentation of all research sources, methodologies, and findings.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools.
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for uncovering insights.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Prior internship or project experience in market research or strategy is advantageous.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Compensation Information

The salary for this role is $28.00 – $30.00/hour. This range represents the good faith anticipated wage for this position. The actual compensation may vary, potentially being higher or lower than the posted range, and may be subject to future modifications.
