The Tone:

• Pay: $275000–$400000 yearly
• Mission: Grow MUFG’s market share in the technology and software sectors through new client acquisition and cross-selling the bank’s global corporate and investment banking product platform.

What You’ll Actually Do
• New Business Development: Drive market share growth within the technology and software sectors by identifying, qualifying, and acquiring new leveraged finance clients.
• Sector Leadership: Become a recognized leader in the technology and software sectors, advising, arranging, and agenting marquee transactions by leveraging sector expertise and MUFG’s platform.
• Relationship Cultivation: Grow relationships with existing software private equity clients and leverage an established network of industry contacts to source new business opportunities.
• Product Cross-Selling: Increase revenue and profitability by coordinating with product leaders to deliver comprehensive client solutions across corporate, investment banking, and markets products.
• Credit Risk Management: Protect the bank’s balance sheet by effectively utilizing capital and structuring/underwriting private credit and leveraged loans for software transactions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 15+ years of investment banking and finance experience, including business origination, M&A, credit, and product training.
• Experience: At least 15+ years in investment banking and finance, with a minimum of 5 years specifically focused on the Tech and Software sectors, accompanied by deep experience in leveraged lending or LBO financing.
• Skills: Deep working knowledge of technology and software sectors, established network of professional peers and client contacts, experience financing M&A transactions in the software sector, subject matter expertise in underwriting risk, FINRA Series 63 and 79 licenses.
• Bonus: An advanced MBA degree is preferred.
