Management & Sales Training Program | Sherwin-Williams
The Tone:
This is an accelerated, entry-level, full-time training program designed to prepare individuals for a Store Management role within 18-24 months. The TL;DR
• Role: Early Career
• Type: Full-time (44 hours/week, including evenings/weekends)
• Location: In-person, various store locations
• Team: Collaborates with store management, progressing to oversee a store and support a team.
• Mission: Lead the development and strategy of a store, grow market share, and ensure customer satisfaction to drive profitability.
• Tech Stack: Timekeeping systems, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems (preferred experience)
What You’ll Actually Do
• Oversee Store Operations: Collaborate with store management to provide leadership and insight into the development and strategy of a million-dollar business.
• Drive Sales Growth: Expand the company’s market share by selling high-quality products to large commercial users such as painting contractors and manufacturers.
• Ensure Customer Satisfaction: Deliver excellent service to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction and cultivate positive relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
• Manage Store Administration: Complete essential store administrative tasks and uphold outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards.
• Develop Team Members: Support employee training, development, performance management, and corrective action, while resolving customer and employee complaints.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level position requiring a bachelor’s degree by the start of the program.
• Experience: Legally authorized to work in the country of employment, with a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License. Preferred to have at least one year of experience in retail, sales, or customer service, and/or one year in a leadership role.
• Skills: Customer Interaction & Service, Sales Aptitude, Organizational & Administrative Skills, Problem Solving, Teamwork & Collaboration.
• Bonus: Willingness to relocate for future job opportunities, ability to communicate in more than one language (especially Spanish), previous experience selling paint and related products, and experience using timekeeping or CRM systems.
