Job Description
Job Title: Lot Porter
Camping World is looking for a Lot Porter to provide driving and support services as part of our first-class service team. This role is essential for maintaining the organization, cleanliness, and security of RV units on the lot, ensuring a professional appearance and efficient operation.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
- Park and move RV units in a timely fashion.
- Ensure window prices on recreational vehicles are installed and removed as instructed.
- Maintain weekly lot washes, ensuring all units and aisles are clean.
- Write work orders, track problems, and ensure units are in proper working order.
- Sweep, pick up trash and debris, empty garbage cans, and keep the lot clean and professional in appearance.
- Keep units and equipment secure from weather elements.
- Maintain physical inventory on a weekly basis.
- Ensure slide-outs are in, jacks are down, steps are down, select awnings are opened, and doors are unlocked on RV units.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and coworkers.
What You’ll Need To Have For The Role (Qualifications)
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience & Skills:
- Towing experience preferred.
- Ability to use a yard tractor and/or forklift.
- Ability to drive an RV.
- Experience using generators and operating slide-outs.
- Ability to repair small items and identify problem units.
- License: Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
- Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
- May lift up to 25 lbs and/or move up to 50 lbs with assistive devices.
- Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, crawling, and bending.
- Exposure to heights and hazards related to working with electrical and welding equipment.
- Environmental conditions include heat, cold, humidity, noise, dust, and wetness.
