Logistics Intern | Danfoss
The Tone:
This is a US-based internship at Danfoss, located on-site. Danfoss engineers solutions that increase machine productivity, reduce emissions, lower energy consumption, and enable electrification across various industries. This role is crucial for improving how products move through the warehouse, directly contributing to safer, faster, and more efficient processes for both customers and colleagues. Your work will support Danfoss’ mission to drive smarter, more sustainable solutions through operational excellence.

• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), ERP systems (such as SAP), AutoCAD (preferred)
What You’ll Actually Do
• Analyze: Analyze warehouse, receiving, and shipping processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities to increase overall efficiency and safety.
• Develop: Develop current and future state value stream maps to support data-driven decision-making in logistics.
• Support: Support continuous improvement projects, including conducting time studies, balancing processes, and implementing 5S initiatives.
• Document: Document logistics processes in alignment with quality standards to ensure consistency and scalability across operations.
• Validate: Validate materials and spare part kits against existing bills of materials to improve accuracy and reliability in inventory.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s (senior year) or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Experience: Ability to analyze processes and translate findings into practical improvement recommendations, with exposure to ERP systems such as SAP.
• Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Bonus: AutoCAD knowledge is preferred, and the ability to work on-site with a commitment for at least 1 year to the program.
