Paralegal | SR Staffing

The Tone:
This role supports a leading law firm client of SR Staffing, which focuses on complex business litigation matters. The firm seeks a Litigation Paralegal to provide essential support to attorneys, ensuring cases are effectively managed through all stages, from discovery to trial and appeal. This position is critical for maintaining compliance with court rules and contributing to successful litigation outcomes.

The TL;DR
• Mission: This person owns the meticulous management of complex business litigation cases, ensuring attorneys are fully supported through all stages from inception to appeal, with a focus on compliance and effective discovery processes.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, document management systems, Relativity, Everlaw, CM/ECF

What You’ll Actually Do
• Litigation Support: Provide comprehensive support to attorneys throughout all phases of complex commercial litigation, from case inception through trial and appeal.
• Document Management: Prepare, review, cite-check, file, and serve critical litigation documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with court requirements.
• Court Filings: Manage electronic filings in state and federal courts, adhering to CM/ECF and other applicable court rules, procedures, and deadlines.
• Discovery Coordination: Oversee and coordinate all facets of the discovery process, including document collection, review, production, and privilege log maintenance.
• Trial Preparation: Assist actively in trial preparation, organizing materials, preparing witnesses, and providing essential courtroom support.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Senior-level Paralegal with a preference for a Paralegal Certificate or Bachelor’s degree, possessing deep domain knowledge of federal and state court rules and litigation practices.
• Experience: At least 5 years of dedicated Litigation Paralegal experience within a law firm environment, coupled with proven expertise in state and federal court e-filings, including CM/ECF, and managing large-scale eDiscovery projects.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, document management systems, and specialized litigation support platforms such as Relativity or Everlaw. Possesses exceptional organizational, analytical, and multitasking abilities to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
• Bonus: Prior experience in complex commercial litigation, including trial preparation and courtroom assistance, and coordinating with expert witnesses.
