The Tone:
This is a contract-to-hire, 100% remote role based in California. Jobot Consulting is assisting a growing labor and employment law firm in finding an entry-level attorney. This position is critical for supporting the firm’s expanding legal practice and offers a clear path to permanent employment. The firm is seeking a new attorney to contribute to their specialized legal services.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Contribute: Provide legal support within a growing labor & employment law firm environment.
• Research: Conduct legal research pertaining to employment law and/or workers’ compensation matters.
• Develop: Perform duties consistent with an Entry-Level Attorney / First-Year Associate.
• Transition: Work effectively during a 3-month contract period with the expectation of conversion to a permanent role.
• Comply: Operate fully remotely while adhering to California bar and residency requirements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school, with an interest in employment law and/or workers’ compensation. This is an entry-level position.
• Experience: Willingness to work on a contract basis for 3 months before potential conversion to a permanent, direct hire role.
• Skills: Active California Bar license and current California residency.
