Life Enrichment Program Director | CHSGa

• Pay: $20.25–$23.10/hour
• Mission: Develop, implement, facilitate, evaluate, and direct a comprehensive Life Enrichment program encompassing the Seven Dimensions of Wellness.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word

What You’ll Actually Do
• Program Development: Develop, implement, facilitate, evaluate, and direct a Life Enrichment program encompassing the Seven Dimensions of Wellness, including special occasions and calendars for individual, large, and small group activities.
• Program Delivery: Actively promote and ensure the ongoing delivery of life enrichment programs, including during evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
• Volunteer Management: Develop and maintain a volunteer program, which includes screening, orientation, training, supervision, and evaluation of volunteers.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Actively participate in the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT), attending and contributing to designated staff, leadership, and committee meetings, as well as resident care conferences.
• Resource Management: Maintain appropriate supplies and equipment necessary to deliver meaningful, patient-centered activities while complying with established departmental financial plans and approved guidelines.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Qualified licensed or certified recreation specialist, or a qualified life enrichment professional.
• Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in a social or recreation program within the last five years.
• Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word; ability to read, interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups; capability to administer the Life Enrichment department in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Bonus: Certification in the GHCA Activity Director State Approved 36-Hour Certification Course, or the ability to obtain certification within the first year of employment.
