Kaizen Summer Sales Intern | Kaizen Marketing
The Tone:
This is a seasonal internship at Kaizen Marketing, located in person. Kaizen Marketing is dedicated to business development and sales, providing comprehensive sales cycle solutions to clients. This paid internship offers a unique opportunity to gain substantial hands-on experience across multiple facets of the sales function, including outside sales, territory management, and direct customer engagement. Interns will play a vital role in driving company growth through active lead generation, conducting compelling service demonstrations, and executing strategic account management. This program is specifically designed to equip participants with essential sales and business development skills, offering paid training and relocation assistance to help jumpstart a successful career in sales and business development.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Acquisition: Identify potential clients and build strong relationships through cold calling and direct outreach as part of outside sales activities.
• Territory Management: Assist in managing sales territories by analyzing market trends and developing strategies to expand the customer base.
• Product Presentation: Conduct service demonstrations to showcase features and benefits, working to upsell solutions that meet client needs.
• Lead Generation Support: Utilize CRM software to support lead generation efforts, tracking prospects and managing follow-up activities.
• Sales Process Improvement: Collaborate with management on business development initiatives to identify new opportunities and improve sales processes.
The Must-Haves
• Background: An early career individual, currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a business, marketing, or a closely related program, demonstrating a strong foundational interest in sales, marketing, or management.
• Experience: A proven enthusiasm for engaging in outside sales activities, understanding B2B transactions, and familiarity with the intricacies of sales cycles.
• Skills: Possess excellent communication skills with a clear ability to negotiate effectively and build strong rapport with diverse clients. Strong analytical skills are also required to interpret client conversations and strategically guide them through the sales process.
• Bonus: Familiarity with CRM software is a definite advantage, and prior experience in retail sales, cold calling, or account management will be considered a plus.
