Jr Production Accountant | Hoff Studios
The Tone:
This is a full-time, on-site role at Hoff Studios, located in Tribeca, New York, NY. Hoff Studios is a content production company creating short, mid, and long-form content across live, documentary, branded, commercial, promo, and performance formats for major clients including Netflix, YouTube, Spotify, and Amazon. The Junior Production Accountant will serve as a dedicated finance support across multiple concurrent productions, ensuring accurate and timely financial operations. This role is crucial for maintaining clean financial records from prep through wrap and is ideal for someone ready to own their function within a busy production slate.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Invoicing: Prepare and issue client invoices, and track them through to payment.
• Accounts Receivable: Monitor aging, follow up on outstanding balances, and keep accounts receivable records current.
• Accounts Payable: Work alongside the production team to handle vendor payments.
• Payroll Processing: Process weekly payroll for both production crew and full-time corporate staff.
• Expense Reconciliation: Reconcile corporate credit cards, coding and documenting expenses against the correct productions and budget lines.
• Financial Reporting: Support Line Producers and Production Managers with accurate, up-to-date cost information across concurrent projects.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level professional with experience in production accounting or a comparable financial role.
• Experience: 1–2 years of experience specifically in production accounting or a closely related finance function. Familiarity with Wrapbook, Movie Magic Budgeting, and QuickBooks is required.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail and an aptitude for managing numbers, deadlines, and documentation. Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent productions without error. Proficiency in Slack and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive). Willingness and ability to work full-time, on-site in the Tribeca office.
• Bonus: Experience across varied content formats such as live, documentary, branded, and commercial productions. Exposure to both union and non-union payroll processing.
