What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Closing: Execute month-end closing tasks and prepare essential journal entries to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
• Budget Variance Analysis: Conduct detailed comparisons between actual spending and budgeted forecasts, identifying discrepancies and providing clear explanations.
• Budget Cycle Collaboration: Collaborate closely with management and investment teams across six distinct budget events annually to facilitate comprehensive financial planning.
• Performance Reporting: Produce insightful reports and engaging presentations that advise leadership on the current financial status and highlight areas for potential improvement or strategic adjustment.
• Financial Support: Apply accounting knowledge to assist department heads and project leads with cyclical budgeting tasks and ensure compliance with professional standards.
The Must-Haves
• Background: This entry-level position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Candidates possessing an Associate’s degree must have at least two years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience: For degree holders, between zero and two years of professional experience is required in an accounting or finance capacity.
• Skills: Demonstrated familiarity with GAAP or IFRS standards and cost accounting principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint. Functional knowledge of SAP software. Strong problem-solving abilities and organizational skills are also essential.
