About the Job: Junior Agency Sales Representative – West Virginia
This development position at First American’s Agency Division is designed to prepare an individual with a sales dynamic for advancement into a Sales Representative role. The primary function is to acquire industry, product, and service knowledge while developing the skills necessary for promotion. The Junior Agency Sales Representative must effectively use interpersonal skills to build long-term internal and external relationships.
This position will require travel throughout West Virginia.

What You’ll Do: Key Responsibilities
- Learn and master the sales process, products, and services offered by First American.
- Participate in sales office functions to gain experience in sales administration.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients.
- Conduct market research and develop effective sales strategies for assigned territory/product.
- Gather and analyze information to build a knowledge base and identify market trends.
- Observe and learn the sales process by calling on accounts, adhering to established sales steps.
- Continuously update job knowledge through educational improvement opportunities and by reading sales and marketing publications.
- Prepare and deliver product presentations to potential clients.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring: Qualifications and Skills
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in sales or customer service.
- Requires a valid driver’s license.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Ability to influence and persuade others effectively.
- An enthusiastic, optimistic, persistent, and resilient personality, with the ability to handle rejection.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Strong computer proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to negotiate conflict constructively.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
- Solid work ethic, self-starter mentality, and high energy level.
Pay Range
$19.12 – $25.49 Hourly
This range is an estimated base pay at the time of posting. Actual pay may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements, and geographic location.
