IR Next Program Associate – Finance | Ingersoll Rand
The Tone:
This is a full-time, early career rotational program at Ingersoll Rand, requiring relocation to various company locations throughout its duration. Ingersoll Rand is a global organization, known for its technology-driven excellence in mission-critical flow creation and industrial solutions across more than 40 respected brands. This program is designed to provide recent college graduates with challenging assignments across diverse finance functional areas, coupled with leadership training and exposure to senior leaders. • Mission: Develop financial acumen and leadership skills to prepare participants for a role in the Finance organization upon successful program completion.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage: Undertake challenging assignments focused on cost accounting and inventory management practices.
• Support: Contribute to critical budgeting, planning, and commercial finance initiatives.
• Analyze: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support business decisions and performance evaluation.
• Implement: Develop and strengthen internal controls, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
• Oversee: Participate in project management activities and gain experience in treasury functions.
• Develop: Continuously enhance financial and business acumen through a structured 24-month program, preparing for future leadership roles.
The Must-Haves
• Background: This is an Entry-Level role for recent college graduates. Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, completed by June 2026. Alternatively, a 5th year Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, to be completed between December 2025 and June 2026, is also accepted. Applicants must have completed, or plan to complete, accounting courses up to and including Intermediate Accounting (or a college/university equivalent).
• Experience: Previous practical experience in the manufacturing industry, such as a finance co-op or internship, is preferred. Demonstrated leadership experience through an extra-curricular activity or organization is also valued. Candidates must be available to start the program in Summer 2026 (late July/early August).
• Skills: Strong foundational knowledge in Accounting and Finance principles, Aptitude for financial analysis and reporting, Ability to contribute to budgeting and planning processes, Understanding of internal controls and project management concepts, Eagerness for continuous learning and professional development.
• Bonus: A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above is preferred. The ability and willingness to relocate to any Ingersoll Rand location, up to two times, over the duration of the 24-month program is required. Sponsorship for work visas is not available for this program.
