The Tone:
This is a rotational leadership development program at PPG, a global company that protects and beautifies the world through innovation in coatings and specialty materials. The selective program is designed to develop the next generation of finance leaders, serving as a pipeline for top talent within the organization. Participants gain diverse experiences, technical training, leadership development, and professional coaching to build successful careers and shape the future of finance at PPG.

The TL;DR

• Mission: To develop the next generation of finance leaders at PPG by providing experiences, training, and mentorship across the organization.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Analyze manufacturing costs: Analyze manufacturing costs including labor, materials, utilities, and operational efficiencies.
• Manage financial reporting: Prepare journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and various financial analyses.
• Conduct profitability analysis: Support product costing, analyze customer and product profitability, and evaluate capital investment (CapEx) opportunities and business cases.
• Develop financial insights: Develop short- and long-term financial forecasts and present financial reports, performance analyses, and ad hoc insights.
• Build system expertise: Build expertise in leading finance systems, including SAP, Oracle, and Anaplan.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance. Early Career level, targeting future finance leaders.
• Experience: An academic record (GPA of 3.3 or above) is required.
• Skills: A team player with a willingness to travel, and authorized to work permanently in the United States.
